Project Background

The Incheon Heroes is a project initiated by the city of Incheon, which is the world's first attempt at a city-led NFT (Non-Fungible Token) based digital citizenship project. It was planned with the goal of achieving urban and environmental sustainability together with citizens and operating a participatory city. Through NFT membership, citizens are provided with opportunities to participate in climate action activities in Incheon or in important decision-making processes, and to enjoy various tangible and intangible values ​​of Incheon such as its history, culture, arts, and entertainment. To achieve this, the characters representing Incheon, including the spotted seals (Ainy, Bumy, Comy), and lighthouse characters, have been revitalized into high-quality art pieces through collaboration with SMATh World, a global 3D art studio.
